Selling eGoods and File Storage

Many website owners want to have the ability to sell eGoods/downloadable products on their websites, items such as eBook, articles, patterns, recipes, graphics, etc. Due to server or host limitations, your website may not be able to provide downloads directly from your own server. When that is the case, there are are services available on the Web that will make it possible for you to sell downloadable products. The following are some resources I have found on the Web. Even if you’re not in the market to sell eGoods, these are great websites you can use for online file storage and back-up.

I highly recommend DropBox as a means of storage and back-up. For a free account, you get 2GB of storage space. Every time you refer someone to DropBox, you get another 250MB of free storage….and the person who clicks on your referral links gets the same. That’s a sweet deal. And a unique thing about DropBox is that if you install it on more than one computer, when you save a file on one computer, it automatically appears in your DropBox folder on your other computer(s), and in your account online. This makes transferring files from one computer to another an instantaneous event! I use this feature a lot in my DropBox.
